SRINAGAR: The first round of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (Mission Indradhanush) in ‘aspirational districts’ of Kashmir – Baramulla and Kupwara – was launched on Monday.
A statement issued by the Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization said the campaign in Baramulla was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner in presence of Dy CMO Baramulla and other officers.
In Kupwara, the Mission Indradhanush was inaugurated by CMO Kupwara in presence of Dy CMO Kupwara and Block Medical Officer Sogam in the far flung area of Himley, Lolab, Kupwara.
Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization J&K Dr Samir Mattoo said the department will achieve 100 percent coverage in all the three rounds of Mission Indradhanush as it has done in previous campaigns like Intensified Mission Indradhanush in Jammu, Gram Swaraj Abhiyan Mission Indradhanush.
“The department is committed to leave no stone unturned to achieve 100 percent immunization in state,” he said.
