JAMMU: Joint Director School education Jammu, Latif Choudhary conducted an extensive tour of educational zones of Bani, Basohli, Mahanpur and Baddo in Kathua district on Saturday.
During the tour he visited DIET Basohli, ZEO office Basohli, Bani, Mahanpur, Baddo and Government High Schools Siara, Bani and Chandal besides Government Higher Secondary School Bani and Lowang.
On the occasion, the Joint Director reviewed the implementation of Mid-Day Meal, Biometric Attendance System, construction of toilets, playgrounds and boundary walls.
Principal DIET, ZEOs and cluster heads have been asked to conduct frequent field visits and monitor the implementation of MDM scheme and working assigned schools.
Choudhary also inspected various class rooms and interacted with the students and staff during his visit in the schools. He impressed upon the teachers to work with utmost dedication and impart quality education to the children. He asked the students to work hard for best results.
Joint Director also visited Kasturba Gandhi Bal Vidhayalya (KGB) at Bani, which is presently running from the building of Middle School Bani and reviewed the working of the institution. ZEO and Warden were directed to ensure hygiene and cleanliness in the institution.
He also directed ZEO to personally pursue the case of land allotment so that KGB building could be constructed. Seasonal centre for Gujjar students set up at Sarthal was also visited by the Joint Director and the seasonal teacher was asked to enhance the enrolment of students by mobilizing the community members.
