Brothers of slain LeT militants arrested in Pulwama

PULWAMA: In a raid on Friday night, government forces arrested three youths, among them brothers of two slain Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, for their alleged involvement in militancy-related activities at Kakapora in Pulwama district.
The arrested youths have been identified as Sameer Ahmad, brother of slain LeT militant Shakir Ahmad Gasjoo, Sameer Ahmad Mir, brother of slain LeT militant Majid Ahmad, and Uzair Baqal, all residents of Kakapora.
SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Chaudhary confirmed to Kashmir Reader that three youths including brothers of two slain LeT militants were arrested during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday from their homes in Kakapora area. He said the arrested youths were involved in militancy-related activities. He said their questioning is going on.
The slain LeT militants Majid Ahmad Mir and Shakir Ahmad Gasjoo were killed in an overnight gunfight at New Colony Kakapora on June 22 last year.
