Srinagar: Kishtwar town is observing a protest shutdown on Thursday against civilian killings in the Kashmir valley, reports said
The shutdown call has been given by Islami Markazi Majlis-e Shoura, District Kishtwar to protest against recent innocent civilian killings in forces actions and arrest row all over the state.
Shoura committee in its bandh call had appealed people of Kishtwar to observe complete shutdown on Thursday.
Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmad Kichloo told Kashmir Reader that shutdown is being observed to register a protest against the unabated civilian killings in Kashmir valley by government forces. It is also to express solidarity with the people living in the Kashmir valley, he said.
