Srinagar: Dilbagh Singh-IPS, Director General of Police, Prisons, J&K after assuming charge as Director Fire & Emergency Services visited Fire & Emergency Services Headquarters Gandhi Nagar Jammu and reviewed the preparedness of the department.
He met the Command Officers, besides holding darbar with the firemen and Incharges of various Fire & Emergency Stations of Command Jammu.
R.C. Raina, Deputy Director and Dr. Anjita Salgotra, Medical Officer, Fire & Emergency Services Jammu were also present on the occasion.
While interacting with the officers and firemen at Fire & Emergency Services he assured them that all their genuine grievances will be addressed within the shortest possible time.
A statement said that he inspected the Fire fighting and rescue demonstrations organized by the officers and officials by utilizing Hydraulic Platform, Fire Tenders and Rescue tenders. The DGP appreciated the response time achieved in the drill. He appreciated the role of firemen in safe guarding the life and property of the public.
He also appreciated the programme conducted by the department on disaster mitigation/ Fire Fighting at Prisons Training Centre Mishriwalla, Jammu.
The DGP also visited the administrative block and interacted with the staff posted in Range and Command Offices Jammu. He also visited Range Stores and Regional Workshop of Fire & Emergency Services at Gangyal and inspected the Stores and well as construction work of the Range Stores.
