SRINAGAR: Following the roll-out of ‘Mission on Delivering Development’, the Chief Secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam Monday set into motion the ‘Mission on Delivering Governance’.
Speaking at a meeting of the Administrative Secretaries at the Civil Secretariat, the Chief Secretary issued a series of instructions to reinforce efficiency, transparency and fairness in administration and ensure speedy redress of public grievances
He asked the administrative secretaries to immediately bring to the notice of the Government any matter, in their respective departments, which has the potential to adversely impact upon the delivery of public services.
“The Administrative Secretaries should clearly indicate the genesis of the issue and required measures to initiate speedy redressal,” he said and added that the concerned Administrative Secretary will be personally accountable in all such matters.
He said, as the State Administrative Council (SAC) meetings have been fixed for every Wednesday, the Administrative Secretaries will submit by 4 pm every Monday, the agenda alongwith the Press Release to the General Administration Department (GAD) through the concerned Advisors for consideration of the SAC.
