SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat Conference has paid tributes to Burhan Muzzafar Wani, his two associates and all those killed during 2016 people’s uprising.
A spokesperson of the amalgam in a statement said “the sacrifices of these martyrs are a part of our collective memory that can’t be erased at any cost”.
“Due to sacrifices rendered by Burhan Wani and thousands of other martyrs, the resolution of Kashmir issue has become inevitable to forge peace in South Asia and Kashmiri nation,” he said.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson said the killing of a teenage girl Andleeb along with two other civilians including Irshad Ahmad Lone and Shakir Ahmad Khanday is “part of state terrorism”.
“The state terrorism has become a norm with killings and injuries of civilians becoming a daily norm that sends the message that Indian forces are orchestrating genocide in Kashmir,” he said.
“The continuous aggressive policy of Indian state against Kashmiris is aimed at putting the resolution of Kashmir issue in cold storage that is resulting in the continuous loss of lives and properties. Unless and until the issue is not resolved as per the wishes and aspirations of people of Kashmir, the violence and uncertainty will prevail.”
