Srinagar: Intense clashes between government forces and civilian protesters break out in Nowdal village of Tral town, the hometown of slain Hizb commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

Reports said that as youths tried to march towards the native village of slain Hizb commander Burhan Wani in Shareefabad to pay tributes to him on his second death anniversary, forces fired tear gas shells to disperse the youth and foiled their march triggering clashes.

Pertinently, a complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir to mark the second anniversary of slain Burhan.

Fearing protests, authorities imposed curfew across several parts of the valley.

The graveyard of Wani and his residence at Shariefabad has been sealed by forces to prevent people from marching there.
