Pak trucks detained on recovery of ‘suspicious substance’

Released after FSL team clearance

BARAMULLA: Authorities Friday stopped two Pakistani trucks at the cross-LoC trading post at Uri, after security agencies recovered some ‘suspicious substance’ mixed with dry fruits.
However, sources said, the two trucks and the drivers were released after a team from Forensic Science Laboratory Srinagar, said the substance was as chemical used to kill insects for safety of the fruit.
The two trucks with registration numbers TKA 470 and XA 845, were stopped after security agencies recovered the suspiciouys substance mixed with pistachios.
A senior police official earlier told Kashmir Reader that experts from Srinagar had been called to test the substance.
“I think it is not any kind of drugs, let the experts check and then we will inform you about it the officer said earlier.
