Srinagar: The Joint Resistance leadership of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik on Friday called for a complete shutdown on Saturday to protest against the shifting of Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates, Nahida Nasreen and Fahmeeda Sofi, to New Delhi by the National Investigation agency (NIA).
The leadership condemned the “brazen and dastard action” of NIA and termed it the worst form of political vengeance against the resistance leadership.
The leaders made a fervent appeal to people to observe a complete shutdown and maintain civil curfew on July 7.
