SRINAGAR: State Cancer Institute, Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) along with the Department of Radiation Oncology in collaboration with Indian College of Radiation Oncology (ICRO) – a wing of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI) – organised 28th post-graduate teaching program at SKIMS here.
The theme of the teaching course was “Dose Delivery in Modern Radiotherapy”.
Director SKIMS, Omar Javed Shah inaugurated the event in which executive body members of AROI, ICRO, general manager Sun Oncology, and SKIMS Radiation Oncology faculty participated. Besides, 38 post graduate students from various colleges/institutes of the country participated in the event.
The conference concluded with examination with 50 MCQs in which two toppers Dr D Samuel Sandeep from MNJIORCC, Hyderabad, secured 1st position and Dr Kalyani from Father Muller Medical College, Kankanady secured 2nd position. These two students will be sponsored for upcoming AROICON to be field at H Thiruvanthapuram by Sun Oncology.
Director SKIMS hailed the Department for organising the event and underlined that these events are huge success and the knowledge gained in the long term are ultimately beneficial to cancer patients.
