SRINAGAR: Administrative Secretaries of many departments have not submitted details of advisors and consultants which were engaged by the previous PDP-led government despite being asked to do so by the Governor.
In an order issued on Thursday, Subhash Chibbar, additional secretary to J&K government, said that administrative secretaries on June 27 had been asked to furnish these details but only a few departments have submitted them, while others have not responded.
The issue, as per the order, was discussed in the State Administrative Council meeting on July 4.
“Based on the decision taken, the undersigned is directed to request the administrative secretaries to review the engagements of advisors/consultants in their departments based on their merit /performance and submit all cases to the concerned advisor by 06-07-1018 for a decision on continuation and termination of his/her engagement,” the order reads.
“Advisors have been requested to decide the cases on 09-07-2018. The General Administration department be apprised of the action taken by the administrative departments by 9-07-2018… The matter will be discussed , thereafter, in the State Administrative Council Meeting on 11-07-2018,” reads the order.
The order has been sent to principal secretary to the governor, private secretary to the chief secretary, private secretaries to the advisors of the governor, private secretary to the commissioner/secretary to the government, and the General Administration Department.
