SIE head visits slain teacher’s family

SRINAGAR: The head of State Institute of Education (SIE) Kashmir Mehboob Hussain on Tuesday visited the family of Sajad Ahmad Lone who recently died along with his 3 family members in a road accident on way to Gurez.
Sajad Ahmad was working as a teacher in school education department and was posted in Kangan.
According to a statement issued here, Hussain expressed grief over the loss and assured the family for all possible help from the department. He stressed upon concerned officers to expedite all the formalities for the kins of the deceased.
Meanwhile, Hussain toured Ganderbal and Bandipora districts. During the tour, he inspected many examination centres established in the districts for conduct of Term 1st examinations. He visited high school Shadipora, high school Wussan, higher secondary school Hariganiwan and other schools to take stock of the facilities being provided to the students at these examination centres.
He also interacted with the VECs and SMCs of these schools and interacted with the community members. He impressed upon all the heads of the institutions and teachers to involve and mobilize the community so that school and students are benefitted.
Hussain also attended a sensitization programme for VEC and SMC members organized by zone Kangan and zone Hariganiwan.
