Gurupurab day: This day significant for Kashmir, says Raina

Srinagar: On the eve of GurupurabAll Party Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) chairman JagmohanSingh Riana said that this day is very significant for Kashmir as Guru Hargobindcome to Kashmir to spread the message of peace and brotherhood in Valley.
In a statement issued here Raina said that Guru was born in June 1595 and he visited Kashmir in 1616 AD and in his memory GurudwaraChattipadshi was build in 1819 which stand and land mark of peace and brotherhood.
“Guru constructed Akal Takth (God’s Throne) as the seat of temporal power in the premises of Golden Temple at Amritsar. This place continues to the present day as the centre of every socio-political activities and power of the Sikh community. Sikh leaders including principle Naranjan Singh, Ajeet Singh Mastana, SantSingh,DavinderSingh,GurdiyalSingh,Trilok Singh Babu,extended congratulation to the Sikh Community on the Birthday of Guru Hargobind,” he said.
