Muslim League delegation visits families of slain militants

SRINAGAR: On the directions of Muslim League chairman Mushtaq-ul-Islam, a high-level delegation headed by party secretary for Dawah wa Tableeg Fayaz Sibtain visited families of slain Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Shakoor Ahmad and slain civilian Yawer Ahmad, in Kulgam and extended their condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families.
A statement issued here said the delegation comprising central executive member Bilal Ahmad Shah, district president Mushtaq Ahmad Naik, Ab Rashid Bhat and Zubair Turley.
Sibtain in his address paid tributes to slain and said, “Despite coercive measures and unbridled power vested in forces, people in state will follow the mission of martyrs and no amount of military might will force them to submission.”
He asked New Delhi to “read writing on the wall that intimidations, detentions, harassment, killing and repression won’t deter us from pursuing the sacred mission of these martyrs”.
