Justice Magrey inaugurates Labour, Consumer court in Srinagar

Srinagar: Administrative Judge for District Srinagar, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey accompanied by the High Court Judge M.K Hanjura inaugurated two new courts namely Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Tribunal/ Labour Court and District Consumer Protection Forum at District Court Complex Muminabad Srinagar on Wednesday.
Jammu and Kashmir Labour Court and District Consumer Protection Forum have been working at Lal Chowk Srinagar whereas District Protection Consumer Forum has been operating from Old Civil Secretariat Srinagar before shifting to District Court Srinagar.
Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Tribunal/ Labour Court and District Consumer Protection Forum are now going to shift to District Court Complex Muminabad Srinagar.
Justice Magrey while interacting with the judicial officers emphasized that immediate steps are required to be taken to address the issues of sanitation, cleanliness and maintenance of the court complex.
“Speedy disposal of old cases to ensure fair and speedy justice to the litigant public should be ensured,” he said.
He also interacted with the executive members of the bar and listened to their grievances and assured them that their guanine grievances will be redressed.
The officers from the Floriculture department were directed to develop the landscape within the court complex to make it more attractive.
The Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Srinagar was directed on spot to ply sufficient number of vehicles on the route, covering District Court Complex to Jahangir Chowk.
Present on the occasion, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir assured the judges that he will visit the District Court Complex after a week to monitory the implementation of decisions taken in the meeting.
Mohammed Akram Chowdhary Principal District and Sessions Judge Srinagar, Abdul Rashid Malik, Director State Judicial Academy, Abdul Majeed Bhatt Secretary to Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Baseer Ahmad Khan Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Riyaz Ahmad Wani Commissioner Srinagar Muncipal cooperation, Director Floriculture, RTO Kashmir and officials from R&B division Srinagar and prosecution were also present.
