Secretary Edu takes review of Education sector of Kashmir Division

The Secretary Education Farooq Ahmad Shah on Tuesday takes review of Education sector of Kashmir Division in presence of DSEK Dr. G.N. Itoo and other senior officers of the Department.

He also took details regarding biometric attendance, the beautification of schools, SRO-43 cases, formulation of tentative seniority list, the finalizing of recruitment rules, APRs of officers, regularization of casual labourers under SRO 308,

Review of Term 1st examination, implementation of centrally sponsored schemes like RMSA/SSA, completion of construction works, teaching learning process, teacher trainings, cultural activities, Best teacher awards, establishment of model schools, schools for specially abled children and model KGs, the strengthening of infrastructure in newly upgraded schools, strengthening of DIETs, the fencing of schools, student exchange programme and other facilities of the schools.

Appreciating the performance of the students from Super 50 coaching centres of the Department, Secretary School Education Farooq Ahma Shah said that it is very pleasing that 151 students from Super 50 coaching centres of the Department have qualified NEET examination recently.

The meeting was attended by Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo, all Joint Directors, CEOs and Principals of DIETs of Kashmir Division in the conference hall of Directorate of School Education Kashmir. Secretary School Education said that there is no scope for any kind of mistake or error in Education and we should impart quality education to the students considering them as our own children and should not show any lapse in this regard. He directed all the Chief Education Officers to take stock of all the problems being faced by students and teachers at ground level and work for their immediate redressal.

He issued many instructions on spot regarding various issues and stressed upon the concerned officers to work hard for the early redressal of grievances.

The points about which Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G. N. Itoo briefed Secretary Education are implementation of biometric attendance, the beautification of schools, speedy disposal of SRO 43 cases, the finalization of recruitment rules, submission of APRs of the officers of the Department and the regularization of casual labourers under SRO 308.

During the meeting Secretary Education issued necessary instructions regarding centrally sponsored schemes like RMSA/SSA, timely completion of works, teaching learning process in schools, teacher training and cultural activities, best teacher awards, establishment of model schools, schools for specially-abled children, establishment of model KGs and strengthening of DIETs. In the meeting officers brought variousissues regarding the strengthening of basic infrastructure of newly upgraded schools, the fencing of schools and student exchange programmes into the notice of Secretary Education.

Secretary Education directed Incharge of Examination of Kashmir Division, Joint Director Trainings and Head of SIE Kashmir, Mehboob Hussain to take all the necessary steps regarding the conduct of Term 1stexamination. DSEK briefed Secretary Education regarding all the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of examination and directed the field staff to remain active during the examination.

Shah told officers that the future of our students lies in our hands and for that we should provide quality education to the students and consider our profession as worship and make every effort to perform our duty efficiently.
