BUDGAM: Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Monday urged the Revenue officers to launch sustained drive to retrieve encroached state land in the district. These remarks were made by the DC, while chairing a meeting of Revenue officers at New Conference Hall in Budgam. She directed them to conduct regular field visits in order to keep check on the encroachment of state land in their respective jurisdictions.
The DC directed the concerned to immediately take note of the brick kilns that are operating illegally particularly those who have failed to furnish the requisite NOCs from the various line departments in the district.
The DC also urged the concerned to take immediate efforts to stop illegal soil excavation in the district. She said that the excavation should take place only at permitted places and that too after the proper demarcation of the plot by the concerned officials. Terming the land conversion as a matter of concern, DC directed concerned to stop the illegal construction on the agricultural and horticultural land.
