Charar-i-sharief: Small Champs Cricket Club defended the title by lifting seventh consecutive summit trophy by thrashing Rising Sun Cricket Club in the final of Haji Brothers Memorial Cricket Tournament played at Alamdar Cricket Stadium here on Sunday.
After winning the toss Small Champs Cricket Club elected to bat first and opted to bat first and the batsmen proved the decision correct and put a formidable total of 241 runs on the board in allotted 30 overs.
Muneeb Mushtaq with 82 out of 51 and Sofi Gulzar with 45 out of just 29 balls remained the main contributors for the team.
For Rising sun Cricket Club Idrees Hassan topped the list of bowlers by claiming three wickets conceding 50 runs in his spell.
Chasing a mammoth total of 242 runs Rising Sun Cricket Club lost wicket at regular intervals and the entire team was bundled out for 82 runs . From Small Champs side Sohail Bhat bagged the four wickets.
