Muslim League concerned over Aasiya’s deteriorating health

SRINAGAR: Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson Syeda Aasiya Andrabi.
A spokesperson of League in a statement issued here said, “From Srinagar to Delhi, everybody is aware that Aasiya Andrabi’s health condition is not well since long. Prolonging her illegal detention is nothing but a political vendetta to break (her) resolve and a worst form of state terrorism.”
He said despite here falling health, no medical treatment or care is provided to her. “The inhuman and cruel treatment by the jail authorities towards the ailing leader is condemnable,” he said.
The spokesperson appealed leaders, Iymas and intellectuals to wake up from the “deep slumber” and raise voice against “oppression, illegal detention and lawlessness”.
He appealed the international bodies including Amnesty International and other human rights organisations to “come to the rescue of these detainees and take notice of this lawlessness and devote attention towards this injustice with the detainees”.
