Court directs prosecution to produce remaining witnesses
Srinagar: A local court on Saturday directed the prosecution to produce all the remaining witnesses before the court on July 4 in a case lodged against Jammu Kashmir Muslim League chairman Masarat Alam Bhat in Police Station Nowhatta Srinagar.
The prosecution has not produced the witnesses before the court despite previous directions.
Alam was produced before the court of Additional District and Session Judge Srinagar on Saturday. After hearing, the Masrat was taken back to Kotbalwal Jail Jammu.
Alam’s counsel Shabir Ahmad Butt told Kashmir Reader that the court has allowed submission and directed the prosecution to produce all the remaining witnesses on the next date of hearing. He said the prosecution was deliberately delaying the matter.
