BARAMULLA: An anti-encroachment drive was conducted in the border area in Uri of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district by sub-divisional magistrate to clear three kilometres road from the farmers in Mohara village.
“The road of 3 kilometres distance from Mohara to upper Mohara was notified in the year 2012, but due to reluctance from some locals, the work on the road was stopped and the area remained without road connectivity since then,” officials said.
SDM Uri Baseer-ul-haqChoudharyled the drive with Tehsildar BoniyarMubashir Amin and other officers of PMGSY.
However, officials said that some locals have encroached upon the already notified land and had laid foundation of structures.
Officials said that all the issues related to the road were resolved amicably and encroachment was removed from the road.
