SRINAGAR: Youth National Conference Provincial President Ajaz Jan on Friday said the report card of BJP and PDP government has been blank.
“They totally ignored the people especially remote and border areas,” Jan said in a statement issued here.
According to statement, NC leader after touring different villages of Mandi in Poonch district said that BJP-PDP have pushed the state into a “crisis-like situation”.
“If BJP was aware that PDP was not able to run the government, then why it waited for four years to take decision of ending the alliance,” he said. “Excuse of good or bad governance is just to befool the people.”
“Since years, everyone was aware that government’s functioning isn’t satisfactory but BJP realised it after four years,” he said.
Jan said government is trying to hide its failure by ending the alliance. “Let BJP and PDP present its four-year report card before the people of the state. The people of Rajouri and Poonch districts were promised several projects but nothing is visible on ground. Even the ongoing projects started by previous government were shelved for no reasons,” he said.
He sought reasons for failure to start work on mini-secretariat building in Rajouri, shelving of vital road projects in Poonch, resuming work on university campus in Poonch and failure to come up to the expectations of people in terms of power projects in Chenab Valley and repeated law and order problems in Poonch district.
While listing the problems of Poonch area, Jan said that 33 KV power line of Poonch damaged in 2014 floods is yet to be fully restored. He said CT scan machine installed in Poonch district hospital is yet to be made operational.
Drungli Nallah bridge damaged in 2014 floods is yet to be repaired, he added.
