SRINAGAR: J&K High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) Srinagar has strongly condemned the killing of a civilian Mohammad Yousuf Rather and four militants and causing injuries to scores of others at Srigufwara, Anantnag, terming it a “planned and systematic genocide” of people of Kashmir “which is being watched by the international community as silent spectators”.
“Only a day before, these very forces raised a residential house at Tral to ground, by use of dynamite and thereby killed three militants, who were hiding in a house, among whom, was reportedly the one, who a few hours before had left his home to join militancy because the police had made his life miserable by repeatedly summoning him to police station and had even detained his brother,” Bar said in a statement issued here.
The Bar Association said it firmly believes that by killing innocent Kashmiris and for the said purpose, placing the services of NSA commandos at the disposal of the army and police, the Government of India and its “ruthless” forces will achieve nothing “except the wrath of Almighty Allah, who is the protector and helper of the people of Kashmir and who is the best of the planners and knows well how to aid and assist the oppressed when the oppressor has used and is using all its arsenal and armoury to eliminate them”.
