J&K Police observes International Yoga Day

SRINAGAR: J&K Police on Thursday organized special programmes at Srinagar and Jammu to observe 4th international Yoga Day.
At Jammu J&K Police Wives Welfare Association in coordination with Ayush, NCC, Bhartiya Yog Sansthan and some NGOs celebrated the Day with enthusiasm at K.K. Hakku Astro Turf Stadium which started at 7 a.m.
Dr. Jatinder Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Prime Minister Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space was the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Jugal Kishore Sharma Member of Parliament (MP) and Ravinder Raina-MLA Nowshera. Convener Advocate Chander Mohan Sharma, members of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, Paratanjali Yog Peeth and Dr T.R. Raina, Yog exponent. Senior functionaries of the administration were also present on the occasion.
About 2000 participants including Div Com. and Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Danish Rana, IGP Armed Jammu, Vivek Gupta SSP Jammu, Manohar Singh (SSP) Commandant IR-14th Bn. Jammu NCC Cadets, Police Trainees from PTTI Vijaypur, Armed Police Personnel including women Police personnel, District Police, Jammu, SSB, senior officers of NCC gathered to performed Yoga, a spokesperson said.
