IGNOU celebrates ‘International Yoga Day’ at Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Regional Center Srinagar in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris Ishwarya Vishwa Vidyalaya Center, Jammu on Thursday observed International Day of Yoga here.

Different speakers on the occasion highlighted the benefits of Yoga for curing illness, its role in bringing about peace and harmony.

Regional Director RC Srinagar Dr. M.A Laskar said that Yoga is a type of Meditation which gives everyone lot of peace and makes them aware of their goals.

Assistant Regional Director, Kamlesh Meena said that it is very important for the people to know all the effects of the Yoga to create a positive outlook.

B K Sudershan Director, Brahma Kumaris Mediation Center Jammu, taught about Yoga and its importance in daily public life, Yoga for peace, harmony and stress management.

IGNOU RC Srinagar expressed gratitude to Prajapita Brahma Kumari Iswariya Vishwa Vidhalya, Center Jammu for extending this support and cooperation on the 4th International Yoga Day.
