KUPWARA: The District Development Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir on Thursday convened a meeting to review the status of the second Phase of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan/ Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan in 222 villages of the district with a population above thousand.
Kupwara has been identified as one of the Aspirational District in the country. The meeting was attended by Chief Planning officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Social Welfare officer, Lead District Manager Kupwara, BMOs, BDOs and other concerned.
The District Development Commissioner directed the officers to organise the programme under various schemes including Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana, Saubhagya, Pradhan Mantri Shahhaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana, Ujala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Mission Indranush as per the schedule already prepared.
The programme shall follow as: On June 25 in Kalarooch Tangdar Trehgam, June 26 in Kralpora, June 27 in Langate, June 28 in Ramhal Wavoora, June 29 in Kupwara, June 30in Rajwar, July 1 in Sogam Teetwal.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to attend the programmes without any delay and also said that all the departments shall work in coordination and cooperation towards achieving the desired results. He said that all the activities should be done in smooth mode and a report should be submitted on the day-to-day basis.
He directed the concerned officers for wide publicity of the programme and asked to install awareness hoardings and boards in towns and along highways.
Meanwhile, the DDC directed all the departments to maintain regular attendance and ensure biometric attendance in the offices and also said that the field functionaries will maintain tour dairies.
