Yashwant Sinha visits Shujaat Bukhari’s home, expresses condolence

BARAMULLA: Former minister in the Government of India and interlocutor to Kashmir Yashwant Sinha on Wednesday visited Kreeri village in this north Kashmir district to meet with the family members of slain Rising Kashmir editor Shujaat Bukhari who was shot dead by unknown gunmen last week along with his two personal security officers.
Family sources said that Sinha along with some other persons came Wednesday afternoon and met with the father and brothers of Shujaat Bukhari.
Sinha conveyed his sympathy with the bereaved family and appealed Kashmir police to identify and book the killers.
“Shujaat was an asset and a bold journalist,” the family sources quoted Sinha as having said.
