Shutdown in Shadimarg village against arrest of youth

Pulwama: A shutdown was observed in Shadimarg village of Pulwama district on Monday against the arrest of youth from the village by government forces.
Three more youth have been arrested during night raids at Kasbayar village of Pulwama, locals said.
Shops and business establishments were closed and public transport was off the roads to protest against the arrests and night raids by police.
According to sources, four arrested have been youth arrested in connection with the killing of armymen Aurangzeb.
SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Choudhary told Kashmir Reader that one person has been arrested by forces at Shadimarg village.
He said that 3 more youths were arrested at Kasbayar village of Pulwama district who are involved in some cases.
“We have detained the youth on suspicious grounds and would be questioned related to the abduction and murder case of Army officer Aurangzeb Khan,” he said.
Meanwhile, clashes erupted between youth and government in Pulwama town on Monday.
Sources said that two persons received injuries during clashes near police station Pulwama.
Both the injured shifted to district hospital Pulwama.
SSP Pulwama Choudary confirmed that clashes erupted in the town.
