Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farpooq  and Muhammad Yasin Malik has called for a complete strike on Wednesday (June 20) against the “continued civilian killings in the valley which has witnessed a sudden spike since the eve of Eid as three young boys have been brutally gunned down by the Indian forces while the forth is struggling for life at SKIMS.”

“CASO has returned with a vengeance to the villages as people are being severely beaten and harassed and used as human shields,” a JRL statement said.

“The strike will also be observed against the brutal killing of veteran journalist Shujaat  Bukhari,” the statement said and added “JRL demands an international probe into this gruesome murder.”
