Naat competition organised at Tagore Hall

SRINAGAR: Aab E Rawan in collaboration with JK Academy of Art Culture and Languages organised a Naat competition- Rooh-e-Anwar at Tagore Hall Srinagar on Saturday.
The programme started with recitation of Holy Quran by a student, Muzamil Bhat. A special performance by Suhaib Ahmad and Waseem from Deaf and Dumb School Solina Srinagar recited a Naat.
Dr. Aziz Hajini was the chief guest on the occasion while as Syed Humayun Qaiser Director of Radio Kashmir was the guest of Honour. Zareef Ahmad Zareef and Altaf Gowhar secretary of private schools associations Kashmir, Mustaq Ali Chairman actors’ creative theatre, festival director and cultural Activist Muneeb Masoodi, chairman of Aab E Rawan and students from different schools were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aziz Hajini urged to hold more such programmes in near future. He also appreciated the participating students for mesmerizing the audience by reciting beautiful Naats in the praise of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Suhaib Ahmad and Waseem Ahmad of Deaf and Dumb School received a special cash award and trophy. Mayram Firdous of Kendra Vidyala School Shivpora bagged the first prize and received a cash of Rs 2000 and trophy while as Hashim Bashir of New SMD School and Basit Muzaffar of S.M Iqbal School Talibal bagged the second and third prize and received Rs 1500 and 1000 and Trophy respectively.
