SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq – the chairman of his faction of Hurriyat Conference and the patron of Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal – will address the Lailatul Qadr congregation at the historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar soon after Taraweeh prayers which will start at 10 pm.
A statement issued here said Mirwaiz will shed light on the Lailatul Qadr and will lead the prayers of repentance. He will also pray for the upliftment of Muslim Ummah and easing of enormous challenges the Kashmiri nation is confronted with.
As part of his efforts to address various religious gatherings across Kashmir to highlight the significance and importance of the holy month of fasting, Mirwaiz will be addressing yet another religious gathering on 25th Ramadhan (Sunday) at Sheikh ul Alam masjid Ahmed Nagar before Asr prayers, the statement said.
During the religious gatherings, Mirwaiz has been shedding light on various aspects of Ramadhan and the benefits of fasting. He also has been urging people to make Ramadhan as a complete way of life.
On 28th Ramadhan, Mirwiaz will address another religious gathering after before Asr prayers at Kanil Masjid Maharaj Gunj.
