Srinagar: Teachers working under centrally sponsored scheme Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) on Thursday held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the benefits of 7th pay commission and has denied to take the salaries of month of April.
The teachers from various districts assembled here in press enclave under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar E Taleem Teachers Forum (JKRETTF) and raised the slogans against the state government for not giving them the benefits of 7th pay commission.
The protestors said that the state government is doing grave injustice with us. “If the state employees have received their salaries from the month of April as per the 7th pay commission, the government has released the ReTs’ salaries for April “as per 6th pay commission”.
“The state government is depriving the benefits of the 7th pay commission for RET Teachers. We are working in a permanent posts in the education department. We have a proper service book and there are proper service rules for us,” the protesters said.
“If the state government is giving 7th commission benefits to all employees. Why the government is neglected the demands of the RET Teachers”. They questioned during the protest here in press enclave.
The protesters has threatened if the government failed to provide the benefits of 7th pay commission, we will again go for a strike. In which all the primary and middle schools will be affected.
