Hideout busted in Bandipora forests, says army

Bandipora Army on Thursday claimed to have busted a militant hideout in Bonzuri Forest area of Bandipora district and recovered arms and ammunition from there.
​According to officials, based on inputs, a search operation was launched in Bonzuri forest on June 4, during which a hideout “located among stones” was busted. Giving details, the army said, an AK-47 rifle, eight magazines of AK- 47, 242 rounds of AK-47, 2 Chinese pistols with three magazines and 22 rounds, five Chinese grenades, 15 UBGL rounds, one binocular and
a telescopic sight along with communication equipment and few utensils and clothes were recovered from the hideout.
​The army said that apparently militants were planning a massive attack, and the recovery of “a huge cache” would be a big blow to them.
