Srinagar: Kashmir University has failed to declare results of the various semester examinations of undergraduate courses conducted in November.
Undergraduate students of the batch 2015 to batch 2017 appeared in semester exams as well as backlog papers but the authorities have failed to declare results creating problems for students.
“In November 2017 we appeared in our first semester exam, now on May 12, 2018 we are appeared in our second semester exam, but till date our Ist semester results have not been declared, because of which we are mentally disturbed,” said Mehvish Farooq, a student.
Students who have to appear in the postgraduate entrance examinations are facing added problems.
“As per the KU notification we (5th and 6th) semester students are going to appear in the PG entrance test once we finish our exam. But we have backlog in our first semester, and they are yet to declare our result which will create problem for us,” said a group of backlog students.
Students who had appeared in the mercy chance in undergraduate courses said they had appeared in the month of December, however, the results were still pending.
Prof. Mohammad Yusuf Bhat Controller Examinations in the university told Kashmir Reader that the results of various examinations conducted from November to February would be declared in the coming days.
The compilation of the results is underway and the process would be completed in some days, he said.
“In next week we will declare results of those students who appeared in the basic, mercy chance as well as backlog of first and fourth semester batch 2015,” he said.
