Srinagar: The family members and relatives of slain militant Mudasir Ahmad Bhat who was killed along his four associates during a gunfight in Tanghdar area of Kupwara district on 26th May this year, held a protest demonstration here and demanded return of his body.
The family members and relatives of a slain militant Mudasir Ahmad Bhat of Parigam village of district south Kashmir’s Kulgam district assembled here in press enclave and shouted slogans demanding return of body of Mudasir.
The protesting family members and relatives of the slain militant said that he was killed in an encounter on 26th May.
“We were unaware about the encounter in which Mudasir was also killed. We came to know about it after a Facebook page updated about it. We saw his photo on the Facebook page,” they said. “We approached the authorities for return of body but nothing has been done so far,” they added.
Pertinently, Army on May 26th claimed the killing of “five foreign infiltrators” along the LoC in north Kashmir. Later two families of south Kashmir, one from Kulgam and another from Pulwama claimed that their kin have been killed in the said gunfight.
