Road accidents claim 3 lives in Kashmir

Pampore: A 25-year old youth was killed when a vehicle hit him on the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Galender Pampore.
Police officials told Kashmir Reader that a vehicle bearing registration number JK03G-3906 on way from Srinagar to Anantnag hit and seriously injured Tariq Ahmad Sheikh (25) son of Mohammad Shaban resident of Nowshera Baramulla.
The injured was referred to SKIMS Soura Srinagar from SDH Pampore where he succumbed to his injuries. Police officials told Kashmir Reader that the accused driver has been arrested and the vehicle seized.
A case has been registered at police station Pampore and investigation was taken up, they said.A driver was injured in another road mishap near Pampore on Monday. Police said an accident happened on New Bypass Galander Pampore between LP Truck and Tata mobile vehicle, resulting in minor injuries to Tata Mobile driver. A case has been registered in the incident.
Meanwhile, Two youth who were on a motorbike died after they were hit by an Alto car near Arin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
Officials identified the deceased as Aashiq Hussain Shah son of Ghulam Mohammad Shah and Irfan Ahmad Magray son of Ghulam Mohammad Magray both residents of Lowdara village.
