Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today staged a protest against the governments in the state and New Delhi and called for immediate revocation of the unilateral ceasefire following a series of attacks on government forces.
Led by JKNPP Chairman Harsh Dev Singh, the protestors assembled at the Exhibition Ground and raised slogans against the BJP governments at New Delhi and in the state.
Condemning the spurt in violence in the Valley, Singh warned that the situation could go out of hand, leading to more deaths and destruction, if New Delhi did not revoke the ceasefire.
On May 16, the government of India had asked forces to not launch operations in Jammu and Kashmir during the holy month of Ramazan. PTI
