Targets 25% growth in Kashmir region in FY2019
SRINAGAR: Field Fresh Foods Pvt. Ltd, a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and Del Monte Pacific Limited recently launched its range of fruit beverages in 1-litre terta pak format under the Del Monte brand in Kashmir market on Friday.
With this launch, Del Monte is looking to build on the success of its canned fruit drinks business in the valley and believes that with the great quality on offer, its tertapak range will be equally well received. The 1 litre terta pak range is available in nine variants including top selling category flavours like Mixed Fruit, Orange, Mango, Pineapple, Litchi, Cranberry and Tomato as well as flavours like Green Apple and Pink Guava, which are inspired by Del Monte’ top selling fruit drink can variants.
Del Monte aims to sustain a 25% growth in sales of its beverages business in Kashmir region in FY19.
Announcing the launch of the new terta pak range in Kashmir, CEO, FieldFresh Foods Pvt. Ltd., Yogesh Bellani said, ”We’ve been humbled with the response that our fruit drink cans range has received in Kashmir over the years, where both the taste and product quality of our offering has been appreciated by consumers and the Del Monte brand is seen as a premium beverage brand.”
He further said “while our fruit cans are more suited for single serve consumption; with the launch of our new 1 litre tertapak range, we want to offer consumers the same great Del Monte taste and quality from a family consumption perspective,” adding that the initial response to the tertapak range has been very encouraging and I’m sure the consumers in Kashmir will make this a success as well.”
Besides a strong beverage portfolio, Del Monte has significant presence across other categories, including packaged fruits and vegetables, sauces and spreads and Italian range. Del Monte works with more than 2500 retailers, 27 direct and indirect distributors in the Kashmir region.
