SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Friday said that trying to set ablaze residential houses during nights clearly indicates that men in uniform are not accountable anywhere.
JKDFP spokesperson in a statement issued here said the incident which took place in Gandbugh Kakapora is not only highly condemnable but the concerned human rights orgainsations should take a serious note of it.
“Vandalising of graves by Indian forces is also a new edition to the ongoing oppression in the region. The government forces have in fact let loose a reign of terror by violating every human right throughout the valley turning the life of the common people into a hell,” he said.
“The men in uniform are also on an arrest spree throughout the valley, even hundreds of innocent people mostly youth are languishing in different jails, police stations and torture centers. The arrests are being made on fictitious allegations which forces fail to prove before courts. However, when courts pass bail orders they are not honoured by police authorities making a joke of the whole judicial system,” the spokesperson added.
DFP appealed international and local human rights bodies to take serious cognisance of the “worst” situation in J&K.
