Aspirants fume after CAPD ‘withdraws’ job notification

Shopian: Aspirants who had applied for class 4th posts (district cadre) in consumer affairs and public distribution (CAPD) department in November month were eagerly waiting for the selection list but officials from the department informed Kashmir Reader that the said notification has been canceled by the government.
Candidates who had applied for the posts said that they were eagerly waiting for the notification of shortlisted and selected candidates. “Almost six months passed since then but neither had they released list of shortlisted candidates and neither they told us when the further process would be started,,” aijaz Ahmad, an aspirant said.
The department had advertised 44 district posts in the department.
A top official from CAPD department informed Kashmir Reader that department has withdrawn the notification (posts) because more posts were sanctioned by the government. “We will inform them through the notice because now we will get it once after the approval of more posts and old notification will be canceled,” he said.
Assistant director CAPD, Shopian Sharjeel Ahmad told Kashmir Reader that they were waiting for the member from directorate who chairs the recruitment process. “I have no information about anything else but as per my knowledge, a member from directorate was scheduled to come here but he didn’t yet,” he said.
Director CAPD, Nisar Ahmad Wani told Kashmir Reader that the said list is under process and it will take more time. “We have not taken any decision yet, I can tell them to wait for some time as we are in touch with government regarding these posts,” he said.
Sources from department said that more than 30 posts were notified for district Shopian and accordingly in other districts of valley.
