Army soldier commits suicide in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: An Army soldier allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday.
The army man shot himself at 24 RR Surfraw army camp at around 12:30am on Saturday and the trooper died on spot.
Talking to Kashmir Reader SHO Police Station Gund Syed Arif Bukhari confirmed the incident and said the Army man identified as Hawldar Raj Pal son of late Roop Singh, a resident of Kanpur Dehat, UP shot himself with his service rifle at an Army camp located at Surfraw Sumbal area and the Army official died on the spot.
The reason for him taking the extreme step was not known immediately, Arif said adding that police have registered a case and investigation was on.
