Pulwama: Suspected militants carried out two grenade attacks in Pulwama district on Wednesday, but no loss of life or injury was caused. The attacks were carried out on the outskirts of main town Pulwama and in Tral town of the district, in that sequence.
As per police reports, a CRPF party was the target of the first grenade, on Circular Road in Pulwama town.
“The grenade missed the target and exploded in nearby orchards, without causing any damage,” a senior police official told Kashmir Reader.
Later, militants fired a hand grenade at the house of a National Conference (NC) leader in Tral town.
The grenade was fired using an Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL). It exploded in the compound of the house of the NC leader, Muhammad Ashraf Bhat.
