SRINAGAR: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Monday expressed heartfelt grief over the demise of prominent social and religious personality Professor Muhammad Shafi of Dargah Hazratbal Srinagar who breathed his last on Sunday.
Malik in a statement recalled the religious, social and human services of the deceased and said that professor Shafi was an affectionate and humble person whose love and care will always be remembered.
JKLF chairman said he and his friends cherished the company of late professor. “Today when he has left for heavenly abode, we pray for his elevation in Jannah and for Sabr-e-Jamil to the bereaved family,” he said.
Terming the demise of as personal loss, Malik said the contribution of late professor and his family will be remembered. Malik along with a party delegation comprising Muhammad Zaman Mir, Muhammad Yasin Butt and Altaf Khan visited the deceased’s residence and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
