Srinagar: Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) filed a charge sheet before Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Barmaulla on Saturday against three Tehsil office employees of Qanoongo,SumalSonawari for allegedly accepting illegal gratification of Rs. 40,000.
VOK has registered case against three employees of Tehsil office Sumbal namely Nazir Ahmad Wani, Manzoor Ahmad Dar and Syed Shabbir Ahmad Andrabri.
Vigilance Organisation said that the brief facts of the case are that on the outcome of verification conducted into the allegations of demand and acceptance of illegal gratification of Rs. 40,000 from Haji Ab. Aziz Dar resident of Lalnagar, Chanapora by NazirAhmad Wani, Office Qanoongo Tehsil office SumbalSonawari and Syed Shabir Ahmad Indrabi Tehsildar SumbalSonawari for implementation of the order passed by Joint Financial Commissioner (A.R) to Tehsildar Sonawari in respect of mutation No.400 dated 12 January 1989 and mutation No. 401 dated 13 January 1989 relating to land falling under Khasara No. 721 measuring 23.4 kanals situated at village SarieDangerpora, Tehsil Sonawara.
Out of Rs. 40,000, Rs.35,000was paid by the complainant to Nazir Ahmad Wani Office Qanoongo through a cheque
The Investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused persons and for launching prosecution, the challan of the case has been produced before the competent Court.
