J&K Yateem Trust distributes food kits worth Rs 4.2 lakh

SRINAGAR: Continuing its motto of ‘Serving the Deserving’ since 1972, the J&K Yateem Trust on Saturday distributed food kits worth Rs 4,25,000 among 170 widow-headed families in a function organised at sub office, Gopalpora Chadoora.
A statement issued here said the main aim of this distribution was to help these families to celebrate the holy month of Ramadhan with zeal and comfort and to enable them to keep fasts.
The function was presided over by the patron of the Trust Z A Tak, who while speaking on the occasion impressed up on the widows to educate their children for which he assured them full support of the Trust. He also impressed upon them to inculcate Islamic character among themselves and their children.
J&K Yateem Trust recently distributed similar food kits among 450 beneficiaries worth Rs.11,25000 at its central office Haft Chinar Srinagar.
