Muslim League condemns nocturnal raids and arrest spree of youth in Srinagar areas

Srinagar: Muslim League on Thursday strongly condemned nocturnal raids and the arrestspree of youth in Downtown Srinagar.
In a statement spokesman SaadSalfi said that forces and police in their joint operation arrested several youth in ZainaKadal, ZaindaarMohalla,QarfaliMohalla and other parts of Downtown areas in Srinagar.
Spokesman while lamenting state authorities and police for their highhandedness, said police during raids ransacked residential houses and people were subjected to brutal and humiliating approach during raids. “It is very sad that police forces during night raids used ladders and sneaked residential house in the pitch of darkness creating terror and harassment among peaceful citizens,” he said.
Meanwhile, Salfisaid that a deputation led by party chairman Mushtaq-ul-Islam visited grieved family of Fayaz Ahmad Gojri and extended his condolences over the demise of his mother. Mushtaq-ul-Islam while praying for departed soul, quoted Holy Quran saying death is inevitable and every soul shall have taste of death.
A next deputation comprising of Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo and Bilal Ahmad Shah condoled the death of youth Tufail Ahmad Zargar in Chota Bazar KaniKadal and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and courage to grieved family to bear this loss.
