Srinagar: Train services resumed on Tuesday after remaining suspended for a day as “a precautionary measure” in the Kashmir valley, wherepro-freedom leaders had called for a general strike and & Eidgah march on the death anniversaries of Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone.
Train runs were resumed on Sunday after remaining suspended for “security reasons” on Saturday in the valley, where pro-freedom leaders had called for ‘Lal Chowk chalo’ on Saturday against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.
“We have resumed train runs in the Kashmir valley after a fresh advisory was received from police,” a senior railway official told UNI.
