SRINAGAR: Muslim League Jammu Kashmir headed by incarcerated leader Masarat Alam Bhat has expressed sorrow over the demise of sister of Imam-e-Hai Jamia Masjid Srinagar, who passed away on Sunday.
A statement issued here said a party delegation led by acting chairman Abdul Ahad Parra along with secretary publicity wing Feroz Ahmad Khan and others visited the residence of the deceased and expressed condolence with the bereaved family.
Parra on the occasion said the family of Imam-e-Hai Jamia Masjid has rendered immense sacrifices for the “scared cause” and has a long history with the movement.
He extended the condolence message of party chairman Masarat Alam to the bereaved family.
The delegation also visited Soura residence of Ghulam Nabi Nowshehri – the renowned religious cleric who passed away recently.
The delegation expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
