Srinagar: The waterlogging on the subway road leading to the Bone and Joints Hospital Barzulla here is causing huge inconvenience to the patients and attendants visiting the hospital.
The commuters are aghast over the water logging and the stinky smell emanating from it.The light motor vehicles generally take the subway route to the hospital and face a lot of trouble crossing the waterlogged road.
“This subway is the entrance to the hospital but due to the waterlogging it has turned into a cesspool,” Danish Showkat, working at a medical shop outside the hospital, told Kashmir Reader.
Shabir Ahmad, one of the local residents of Barzulla said, “Why this subway road has been neglected by the government which also connects the bones and Joint Hospital. The government should take steps to repair the subway road. So that people will not suffer again.”
When contacted, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Riyaz Ahmad Wani said a special team will be sent to the place for inspection.
“We will take stock of the condition of the subway and carry out the work as required,” SMC Commissioner said.
